Export Options

The Export tab of the Options dialog allows you to export Hotkey definitions in various formats.
If you choose an export file that already exists, it will be overwritten.
Create an AutoHook format INI file
The exported file will work with all AutoHook versions using the new INI format (2008 or later).
You can copy it to another computer's AutoHook installation folder or import it using the Import feature.
AutoHook does not simply copy your existing INI file — it filters out invalid definitions and unrelated text.
All Hotkey definitions are exported, including hidden keys due to settings in the General tab (like
Ignore NumLock state or Allow mouse buttons 4 and 5 as modifiers).
It is not possible to export your Hotkey definitions to the older legacy format,
as too many new features have been added to make that practical.
Create a Tab-delimited file
Useful for importing into other applications for documentation or similar purposes.
Create a custom-delimited file
Works like the Tab-delimited export, but lets you choose the delimiter character (default is comma).
Tabs are the safest choice, since they can't exist in Hotkeys or Macros — but not all applications support tabs as delimiters.
Export Settings
AutoHook now supports exporting settings in addition to your Hotkeys. This includes all Options → Window and Options → Program settings as well as your Hotkey/Macro sort preferences.
